LA : Fashion and Fun
Posted: 2 months ago
Los Angeles is amazing, I never want to leave! Gorgeous sunny days, everyday. You can't beat the weather. Each locale has its own look and feel. It is definitely a whole different world out here. Every club has a line and a list. Everyone knows someone (or knows someone who knows someone) famous. People watching is great, and definitely something I notice is the guys; I have never seen so many hot guys all in the same place at the same time. Men's fashion here is awesome. I see lot of the vintage grungy look, but also polished and preppy and then probably the best look that I have noticed on the guys out in the clubs is the throwback '80s style with bright colored shirts, tight faded jeans with the "rapper blinds" sunglasses in neon colors. OK, this may not be the most attractive style, but it's hard NOT to look! The girls wear all kinds of fun things as well. A lot of tan fedora hats that you see on celebs like Samantha Ronson (Lindsay Lohan's friend), and girls do the grunge look too. I am a big fan of skyscraping heels in every color paired with a classic mini dress :)

Greek Life is Back in Swing
Posted: about 1 month ago
4 commentsWe had our first open house this week for my sorority. This just means that we are accepting new members and gives them a chance to check out our house and the girls in the sorority. Recruitment can be really scary, I remember going through all the houses as a Freshmen and feeling really anxious! A bunch of nervous girls came through, but they warmed up. We call the potential new members P.N.M.s for short. It's always fun to meet new people, I met a bunch of really great girls. We managed to make it through the day pretty smoothly. Everything went well -- I can't wait to get new members!
Are you Greek or have you ever thought about joining a fraternity or sorority?

Back to School

1 commentHey guys, it's me, Laura. I am really sad to leave L.A., but also excited because I get to go back to OSU (Ohio State University). Also, I am really happy because I get to continue my internship from home, so you guys can hear all about my senior year and also tell me about what's going on in your world. Football season is in gear and that's always a blast. I love tailgating with my friends before games, and I love Fall in general. It's nice to be back! What's going on with you guys this fall?

Disneyland!

1 commentSince I work for Disney, I get to go to intern events at Disneyland! It's a pretty cool perk. I had never been to Disneyland before so I was genuinely excited then I found out the friend I was going with (a fellow intern named Michael) didn't like roller coasters! We ended up having an awesome time anyways and I even survived my first California earthquake! At the end of the day, I managed to convince Michael to ride Space Mountain. After the ride he has a big smile and said, “That was awesome! It was funny :) My Favorite ride was definitely space mountain but we also went to fun stuff like the Bug's Life show. I thought it would all be cheesy but it was really cute and funny! The whole day was so fun; I would definitely go back again.
