Prank'd!
Posted: 7 months ago
If you’re going to be in a frat, you’re probably gonna have to deal with pranks. 'Tis better to give than to receive, but odds are you might be doing both. It should be all in good fun, but some people take it too far, or take it too hard.
If you got prank’d, would you take it personally, or just let it slide? What would you say is crossing the line?

I would most def. let it slide because I am a pranker myself :) I think it crosses the line when someone looses an eye. -
I was an orientation leader and the freshman really didn't like this one guy... so they put a bunch of furniture in front of his door... forgetting that the door opened inward.... It was so stupid but funny.... Pranks happened all the time at my undergrad school. The houses were always going after each. In fact we did the duct tape thing but we also did the newpapers in front of the doors and windows so people couldn't get out of their house... looking back kind of stupid, at the time funny as anything. -
If its all in good fun and it doesn't cause any serious harm, I would be fine with it. Once you cause serious harm like getting a couple broke up over it or a student has to leave school b/c of it..then its to far. -
Minor physical harm is ok. Like a few scratches from crawling out of the thorn bush you were "accidentally" pushed into. Most humans find physical harm funny, just nothing along the lines of broken bones. -
it was funny wat they did 2 rusty....I won't get mad I'll get even as long as no 1 gets hurt is okay....n pls dat is na point of pranking is to see who has da best ideas lol lol -
I think taping rusty to the wall and puting the sheet over his head crossed the line. In reallife there could of been a fire and no one to help him. Or he could of gotten hurt. I think it cross's the line when pranking turns into bullying. -
We prank at Plattsburgh all the time. Lesse, I showed everyone my duct-tape fiasco....and we did one that really set the score. We made a wall out of recyclable beer cans and taped it to the RA's door. None of us take it personally...It's only crossing the line when you are intentionally trying to injure someone. -
I like to prank and get pranked. So if someone got me I'd be cool with it unless they broke my stuff or hurt me pretty bad. -
Unless I was in physical harm, I would probably laugh it off. I mean why take it personally when its all good and fun? I mean I understand if your friend did it would suck, but don't get into something if you can't handle it. Fraternities are sopposed to be fun, and make stories for your future. So laugh it up Rusty! :P

Greek Life is Back in Swing
Posted: about 1 month ago
4 commentsWe had our first open house this week for my sorority. This just means that we are accepting new members and gives them a chance to check out our house and the girls in the sorority. Recruitment can be really scary, I remember going through all the houses as a Freshmen and feeling really anxious! A bunch of nervous girls came through, but they warmed up. We call the potential new members P.N.M.s for short. It's always fun to meet new people, I met a bunch of really great girls. We managed to make it through the day pretty smoothly. Everything went well -- I can't wait to get new members!
Are you Greek or have you ever thought about joining a fraternity or sorority?

Back to School

1 commentHey guys, it's me, Laura. I am really sad to leave L.A., but also excited because I get to go back to OSU (Ohio State University). Also, I am really happy because I get to continue my internship from home, so you guys can hear all about my senior year and also tell me about what's going on in your world. Football season is in gear and that's always a blast. I love tailgating with my friends before games, and I love Fall in general. It's nice to be back! What's going on with you guys this fall?

Disneyland!

1 commentSince I work for Disney, I get to go to intern events at Disneyland! It's a pretty cool perk. I had never been to Disneyland before so I was genuinely excited then I found out the friend I was going with (a fellow intern named Michael) didn't like roller coasters! We ended up having an awesome time anyways and I even survived my first California earthquake! At the end of the day, I managed to convince Michael to ride Space Mountain. After the ride he has a big smile and said, “That was awesome! It was funny :) My Favorite ride was definitely space mountain but we also went to fun stuff like the Bug's Life show. I thought it would all be cheesy but it was really cute and funny! The whole day was so fun; I would definitely go back again.
