OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. MAKING
A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE ONE'S CHANCES OF
WINNING.

SPONSOR: International Family Entertainment, Inc., dba ABC
Family Channel,

ADMINISTRATOR: Ventura Associates, Inc., 1040 Sixth Avenue, New
York, NY 10018, an independent administrating organization whose decisions are
final and binding with respect to the administration of the
Contest.
3.
TO
ENTER: This is a
Contest to judge your ability as a contestant (“Contestant") to participate in
virtual fraternity/sorority challenges via weekly submissions (“Submissions").
During the period commencing at 6:00:00 P.M., March 24, and ending at 11:59:59
P.M., June 13, 2008, if you are a registered user (“Member") of VirtualRush.com
(“Website") and are 18 years of age or older, you may enter by clicking the
Entry button (“Entry"). For purposes of these Official Rules (“Rules") all times
and dates are Pacific Time. If you are not a Member, you may become a Member for
free by visiting the Website and registering as
instructed.
Normal Internet access and usage charges imposed by your
on-line service will apply. It is your sole responsibility to notify the Sponsor
in writing if you change your email address (“Address"). To do so, go to the
Website, log into your account and follow the instructions on how to change your
Address. You may be asked to consent to receive promotional emails and reminder
emails from Sponsor. Such consent is not a condition to be eligible to
participate in the Contest and does not improve Contestant's chances of winning.
Such emails would be subject to the privacy policy of Sponsor found in Section 9
below, and Contestant may opt out of receiving them at any
time.
4.
LIMITATIONS: All Submissions must be received according to the
schedule posted on the Contest page(s) on the Website with final Submission
required by June 13, 2008 at 11:59:59 PM. Submissions must comply with
instructions on the Contest page(s) and are limited as described. In event of a
dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting a Submission, the
Submission will be deemed to be submitted by the person in whose name the
Address is registered (“Authorized Account Holder"). Authorized Account Holder
means the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an internet
access provider, online service provider, or other organization that is
responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the
submitted email address. Entries by any method other than set forth above in
Paragraph 3 are void. Any use of automated or programmed methods of effecting
Entry is prohibited. Open only to persons 18 or older upon Entry who are legal
residents of, and physically located within, the 50 United States or D.C.
(“Territory"), have Internet access as of March 23, 2008, and are not employees
of Sponsor or Administrator; their respective parent, subsidiary or affiliated
companies; or the advertising, promotional or fulfillment agencies of any of
them (individually and collectively, “Entities"); nor members of their
households or immediate families. Neither the Entities, nor any of their
officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents or representatives
(individually and collectively “Releasees") are responsible for Entries from
persons residing, or physically located, outside the Territory; Entries that are
altered, delayed, deleted, destroyed, fraudulent, illegible, improperly
accessed, inaccurate, incomplete, interrupted, late, lost, multiple, mutilated,
non-delivered, stolen, tampered with, unauthorized or unintelligible; or any
printing, production, technical, electronic or other errors; or for lost,
interrupted or unavailable network, server or other connections;
miscommunications; failed phone, computer hardware or software or
telephone/facsimile transmissions; technical failures; unauthorized human
intervention; traffic congestion; garbled or jumbled transmissions;
undeliverable emails resulting from any form of active or passive email
filtering; insufficient space in Contestant's email account to receive email; or
other errors of any kind, whether due to electronic, mechanical or human error
or other causes; even if caused by the negligence of any of the Releasees. Each
of such potential Entries may result in disqualification. Void where prohibited
or restricted by law and subject to all applicable federal, state, local and
municipal laws and regulations.
- PRIZES:
Sixty (60) Weekly Prizes- one (1) per weekday
(Monday through Friday) for twelve (12) weeks. The weekly winners (individually, “Weekly Winner")
will be up to sixty (60) (one (1) per weekday) Contestants whose Submissions
receive the highest scores based on the judging criteria set forth in Section 6
below. Weekly Winners can be chosen from Submissions received from any day of
the Week during a specific Week.
Each of the up to sixty (60) Weekly Winners will receive a retail gift
card of $100 (Total approximate retail value (“ARV") of all Weekly Prizes:
$6,000.00). All terms and
conditions of the gift card apply.
One (1) Grand Prize. The Grand Prize Winner (“Winner") will be the
Finalist who receives the highest score based on the judging criteria set forth
in Section 6 below. Winner and three (3) of his/her guests (collectively, the “Group") will receive: [1] a walk-on role during the filming
(the “Filming") of an episode of Season 2 or 3 of the television series entitled “Greek" or other television program designated by Sponsor in its sole discretion
(the “Program"); and [2] a four (4) day/three (3) night trip
for four (4) to Los Angeles, CA (“City"), on Sponsor-selected dates in 2008 or
2009 (the “Grand Prize Trip"), consisting of the following elements:
[1] hotel accommodations for four (4) persons (one standard
room/quad occupancy, including room tax) for three (3) nights;
[2] if Winner's residence is located more than two hundred
fifty (250) miles from the City, round-trip coach air transportation for four
(4) between the major metropolitan airport nearest to Winner's residence
(“airport of origin") and a major airport in or near the City;
[3] airport/hotel transfers and [4]
hotel/Filming transfers. Airline carrier and hotel regulations and conditions
apply. All expenses not specifically mentioned herein are excluded and are
solely the Winner's responsibility, including but not limited to: round-trip
transportation between Winner's residence and the hotel if Winner's residence is
within two hundred fifty (250) miles of the City, round-trip transportation
between Winner's residence and any airport of origin, room service, parking
fees, laundry service, food, mini-bar charges, merchandise, souvenirs, telephone
calls, tips, gratuities and service charges. Travel and lodging are subject to
availability, certain restrictions and Sponsor's approval; and Grand Prize Trip
must be taken on Sponsor-selected dates or prize may be forfeited. ARV:
$3,500.00, which will vary depending upon points of departure and destination
and seasonal fluctuation of hotel rates and airfares.
Tickets issued in conjunction with the prize are not
eligible for frequent flyer miles, and no code share flights may be used. Prize
cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer. Prize elements
may not be separated. Any depiction of any prize is for illustrative purposes
only. Prizes are not redeemable for cash or transferable. No substitution
allowed except, at Sponsor's sole discretion, a prize of equal or greater value
may be substituted. All prizes will
be awarded provided there are sufficient eligible Entries received and provided
prizes are validly claimed within five (5) days of notification. Any and all federal, state and local
taxes associated with the receipt or use of a prize is the sole responsibility
of each winner. The Grand Prize
Winner will receive an IRS Form 1099 reflecting the final actual value of
his/her prize.
Optional Bonus Prizes. Sponsor may in its sole discretion award bonus
prizes (to be determined by Sponsor) to Contestants from time to time during the
Contest.
6.
PROCEDURE/JUDGING: The Contest will be conducted in three
Rounds. Round 1: Each
day from Monday
through
Friday for twelve (12)
consecutive weeks, Contestants may submit Submissions for posting in response to
the weekly challenge (the “Weekly Challenge") commencing at
6:00:00 PM., PT, Monday, and ending at 11:59:59 P.M., PT, Friday. Each Contestant may submit more than one
(1) Submission in response to each Weekly Challenge. Sponsor's appointed judges (the “Judges") will select up to sixty (60) (i.e. one (1) per weekday) Weekly Winners
to move to Round 2. The judging
process will be completed and each Weekly Winner announced online on or about
two business (2) days following each respective weekday being judged. Round 2: During the month of July, the Weekly
Winners will be asked to participate in additional Weekly Challenges to
determine who will become the top ten (10) Contestants (the “Finalists") to
advance to Round 3. The judging
process will be completed and the Finalists announced online on or about the end
of July or early August.
Round 3: During the month of August, the Finalists
will participate in a final competition (“Final Competition") to be determined
by Sponsor. The judging process
will be completed and the Grand Prize Winner announced online on or before
December 31, 2008. In the event of prize forfeiture, the Sponsor may, in its
sole discretion, award or not award the forfeited prize to an alternate winner.
The
Weekly Winners, Finalists and Grand Prize Winner will be selected
based on the following judging criteria: originality, poise and performance
ability. In the event of a tie, the
winner will be selected at the Judges' sole discretion. Decision of the Judges is final on all
matters relating to the judging.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: Contestant's Submissions must be
consistent with guidelines on the Website. Submissions which do not conform to
these guidelines will be disqualified.
9.
PRIVACY POLICY/DATA COLLECTION: Information provided by you under this
Contest is subject to Sponsor's privacy policy located at http://disney.go.com/corporate/privacy/pp_wdig.html.
10.
CONDITIONS: Each Contestant by entering the Contest agrees
that: [1] by
entering the Contest, Contestant grants Sponsor a non-exclusive, perpetual,
irrevocable license to reproduce, distribute, display, exhibit, transmit,
broadcast, stream, synchronize with visual material, modify, amend, create
derivative works, and otherwise use and permit others to use the submitted
materials, including without limitation, the Submissions, and Contestant's
contributions to the Filming, (collectively, the “Materials"), throughout the
universe in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, in all languages
and in all versions, and whether or not Contestant is selected to advance to any
Round (“Rights"); [2] Contestant has all rights, licenses,
permissions and consents necessary to grant the Rights to the Materials to
Sponsor as expressed herein; [3] Sponsor's use of the Materials
as described herein will not give rise to any claims of infringement, invasion
of privacy, defamation or claims for performance or payment of any kind,
including but not limited to payment of re-use fees, residuals or license fees;
[4] Contestant will indemnify and hold Releasees harmless
against any and all claims, losses, damages liabilities and expenses (including
without limitation any legal and investigative fees) in connection with or as a
result of Contestant's Entry, Sponsor's exercise of any of the rights granted
hereunder, and any breach of Contestant's representations, agreements and
warranties hereunder; [5] Sponsor shall have the right to make
such changes to the Materials and make such uses thereof as it deems necessary
or desirable, including but not limited to the right to use, edit, and reproduce
and/or alter said Materials in perpetuity, in its entirety or in part, for any
commercial and promotional purposes worldwide without any consultation or
additional permission, or compensation, credit or attribution;
[6] Contestant will warrant and represent that all footage
contained in the Materials, and any music contained therein, is available for
use, without permission from or payment to any third party, throughout the
universe in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, in all languages
and in all versions, and the Materials and the proposed use of materials set
forth herein do not infringe upon the rights or interests of any third party;
[7] Contestant will warrant and represent that no person
recorded in any Submission is an employee of Sponsor or its parent, subsidiary
or affiliated companies (e.g., The Walt Disney Company, ABC, Inc., ESPN, etc.)
at the time of the submission or production of such Submission;
[8] Sponsor reserves the right to immediately remove any
Submission from any Sponsor-affiliated websites at any time and for any reason;
[9] Sponsor reserves the right to reject any Submissions that
it deems, in its sole discretion, to violate any of the policies of Sponsor's
Standards and Practices guidelines at any time; [10] in the event travel is required to
participate in the Final Competition, Finalist will be able to travel to
Sponsor's selected location on Sponsor's selected dates; [11]if
selected as a Grand Prize Winner, Contestant will be able to travel to the
Filming in Los Angeles on Sponsor's selected dates; [12] should
a Contestant fail to meet any deadline as outlined in these Rules, Contestant
will be disqualified; [13] Sponsor has the right to disqualify
any Contestant whose Submission is the subject of a legal claim by a third
party; [14] Contestant grants the unconditional non-exclusive
right to Sponsor and assigns to use Contestant's name, address (city and state
only), voice, likeness, photograph, Materials, Submissions, biographical and
prize information and/or statements for any purpose, including but not limited
to any publicity, advertising or promotional purpose without any compensation or
credit, except where prohibited by law; [15] Contestant will
abide by and be bound by the Rules, Sponsor's decisions and Sponsor's Terms of
Use and privacy policy; [16] Entries will not be acknowledged
or returned and all forms, releases and information supplied to Sponsor become
the Sponsor's sole property; [17] Contestant releases the
Releasees from claims, injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting, in
whole or in part, directly or indirectly, and assumes all risks, from the
awarding, delivery, acceptance, use, misuse, possession, loss or misdirection of
any prize; participation in the Contest or in any related activity or travel or
from any interaction with, or downloading of, computer Contest information or
for liability related to third party materials or third party services to
Contestant, including without limitation, copyright infringement and breach of
expressed or implied contract; [18] Sponsors are not
responsible for claims, injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting from
viruses, bugs, unauthorized human intervention, Acts of God, acts or regulations
of any governmental or supra-national authority, war, national emergency,
accident, fire, riot, strikes, lock-outs, industrial disputes, acts or threats
of terrorism, or other matters beyond the Sponsor's reasonable control, nor are
Sponsors in any way responsible for any events that corrupt, prevent or impair
the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Contest, so that it
cannot be conducted as originally planned, the Sponsor has the right to cancel,
terminate, modify or suspend the Contest; and in such event, to select a Winner
by such method as Sponsor in its sole discretion shall consider equitable, and
in the event a Grand Prize Trip has already commenced, to terminate the Grand
Prize Trip and return the Winner and guests, if any, to any airport of origin as
soon as reasonably possible; [19] neither Sponsor nor Releasees
are responsible for typographical or other errors in the offer or administration
of the Contest, including but not limited to: errors in the advertising, Rules,
selection and announcement of any winner and distribution of any prizes;
[20] any portion of any prize not accepted or used by any
winner will be forfeited; [21] neither Sponsor nor Releasees
are responsible for any inability of any winner to accept or use any prize (or
any portion thereof) for any reason; [22] by acceptance of any
prize, each Weekly Winner, Finalist and Grand Prize Winner agrees that he/she
will be available to participate in any and all public relations activities
requested by Sponsor or Sponsor's designated agency for no compensation (to the
extent permitted by law), except that travel expenses incurred by a winner will
be paid for by Sponsor; [23] Sponsor has the right at any time
and at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it suspects to be doing
any of the following: (a) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry
process or the operation of the Contest or the Website; (b) violating the Rules;
(c) violating the terms of service, privacy policy, or other terms, conditions
of use and/or general rules or guidelines of any Contest activity, property or
service; or (d) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with
intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person;
[24] Sponsor has the right to conduct a background check
of any and all records of the members of the Group (individually, “Participant"), including without limitation, civil and criminal court records
and police reports, which they, to
the extent necessary under law, shall authorize; [25] Sponsor may take all steps
necessary to corroborate any information provided to Sponsor by any of the
Participants and they will be
obligated to provide necessary contacts and information for the background
check; [26] Sponsor has the right,
in its sole discretion, to disqualify any Participant from any prize element,
based on the background check; [27] Sponsor has the right to bar entry or
participation of any Contestant whose eligibility is in question or who has been
disqualified or is otherwise ineligible to enter the Contest;
[28] any attempt by any Contestant to deliberately alter or
damage the Website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a
violation of criminal and civil laws, and Sponsor reserves the right to seek
damages from any such Contestant to the fullest extent permitted by law;
[29] all disputes, claims and causes of action at law or
in equity (individually, “Claim") arising out of or relating to this Contest,
the meaning or interpretation of the Rules or any prize awarded shall be
resolved by applying the laws of California, without regard to conflict of laws
provisions therein, and shall be solely and exclusively brought in the state or
federal courts located within that state; [30] all Claims shall be resolved
individually, without resort to any form of class action; [31] all claims, judgments and awards
shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, but in no event include attorneys' fees, and under no circumstances will any entrant be permitted to obtain awards
for, and hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, special,
consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket
expenses and waives all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased
and [32] Sponsor has the right to
modify prize award procedures at its sole discretion. [33] Contestant hereby waives any right or
remedy in equity, including any right to rescind Sponsor's right and interest in
and to the materials or to enjoin or restrain the production, marketing,
publishing, exploitation, distribution or exhibition of the Materials, or any
other related materials, including but not limited to the Program and any
advertising relating thereto; [34] there will be no residual or
any other type of payment due Contestant or any third party in connection with
any use or distribution of the Materials and no person's participation in the
Contest is governed by any collective bargaining agreement;
[35] Sponsor shall have the right to investigate, verify and
otherwise review the material and information contained in any Materials and
Contestant will agree to cooperate with any such review; [36]
Sponsor reserves the right to review, approve or reject any and all aspects of
the Filming and the production thereof and to terminate said production at any
time for any reason in its sole discretion; [37] Sponsor
reserves the right to make any use, including no use, of the Filming and to
determine the medium for its exhibition, if any, at any time;
[38] Sponsor reserves the right to change the rules and
procedures of this Contest, including but not limited to the criteria and means
for selecting Weekly Winners, Finalists and Grand Prize Winner, at any time in
its sole discretion; [39] Sponsor reserves the right to provide
any credit (or no credit) in connection with any use of the Materials and
[40] all decisions by Judges, Sponsor and Administrator shall
be final and non-appealable.
